Young artist from Fort-de-France, more precisely from the MONTGERALD neighbourhood. He is part of the great generation of Reggae-Dancehall artists in Martinique. The one who popularised the Shatta movement. Inspired by Jamaican reggae, particularly SIZZLA and CAPLETON, he is also a fan of rap, French variety and Afro Beat. He quickly made a name for himself on the sound systems and stages of Martinique. Elji loves women and expresses this in his lyrics, women inspire him, bewitch him. Creator and leader of the ZOUTIS Crew, there's no stopping Elji the daredevil, he undertakes and creates with passion.
From business to business, he got carried away by activities that got him into trouble. After a stint in prison, he pulled himself together, took stock of his life and returned this year with his first project, a mixtape FROM STREET TO JAIL, with an autobiographical documentary as its video counterpart. We discover a singer who is certainly fearless but above all human, sensitive and determined to succeed through music. Co-produced by Chabine Prod, FROM STREET TO JAIL is sure to reveal a whole new ELJI. The first single, MELANCOLIE, is a masterpiece to be discovered as a matter of urgency.
