Jean-Marc Ferdinand

Born under a lucky star in Saint-Claude, Guadeloupe, Jean-Marc Ferdinand grew up with a deep joie de vivre that is always reflected in his smiling face.

From an early age, he showed a keen interest in the entertainment and culture of his island. His passion for traditional dances such as biguine and gwo-ka led him to become a talented dancer before devoting himself to choreography.

At the same time, Jean-Marc joined the groups BANBIYO and K'KOUSTIK, where he contributed as a singer and composer. until the explosion of the track  "DIS LA RÉYÉ which is THE ESSENTIAL TITLE for every successful event. 

His ability to communicate his know-how and his joie de vivre also led him to win the "9 semaines et 1 jour" competition, which marked a turning point in his musical career.

Jean-Marc Ferdinand's real breakthrough came with the release of his album "TCHIKITY - Festi Zoukwho has risen through the ranks of party music.

The album was acclaimed for its upbeat rhythms and celebration of Caribbean culture, cementing his place as one of the biggest names in zouk music.

In addition to his musical career, Jean-Marc is a fervent promoter of Guadeloupean culture. He works actively in the socio-cultural field, organising workshops and events to pass on local traditions to younger generations. He is also involved in various community initiatives aimed at strengthening the social fabric of his region.

Jean-Marc Ferdinand is regarded as a pillar of contemporary Guadeloupean music and culture.

His commitment to preserving and promoting Antillean culture has inspired many young artists and contributed to the international recognition of his island's music. His artistic career, marked by an unshakeable passion and an infectious joie de vivre, continues to leave an indelible mark on the cultural landscape of the West Indies.
