Joelle URSULL

Before embarking on her solo career, Joëlle Ursull was a member of the women's trio  Zouk Machine is created by Guy Houllier and Yves Honoré. They called on Joëlle Ursull, a family friend.

The group was a huge success from the moment their first self-titled album was released, enabling the singers to perform on numerous stages and television platforms.

Visit 1988Joëlle Ursull left the group to pursue a solo career and released her first album entitled MiyelThe artist was joined by the crème de la crème of the Zouk scene (Kassav'Frédéric Caracas and Pascal Vallot).

Early 1990, Marie-France Brièrechose Joëlle Ursull to represent the France at Eurovision Song Contest which takes place in May at Zagreb.

Le 5 May 1990Joëlle Ursull represents the France  with her veiled timbre, she sang the song White and Black Blueswritten by Serge Gainsbourg and composed by Georges Augier de Moussac1.

As she took to the stage, two dancers performed around her, banging on tom-toms. In the final vote, she scored 132 points, placing her in 2nd place.e place, tied with Liam Reilly, the singer representing theIreland with the song Somewhere in Europe.

The same year, Joëlle Ursull released her second solo album entitled Black French.

Visit 1993she released her third album Like in a film with a very blues.

After becoming a mother, she devoted ten years to bringing up her two daughters. In the meantime, she took part in a number of musical projects, penning a single in tribute to Mères & Pères in a duet with Jacques D'Arbauda duet on the album by Guadeloupean comic Pat, another in 1999 with reggae artist Djamatik.

Visit 2003she offers her long-time fans a single entitled Babydoo.

From 2004 to 2006, she took part in a number of television programmes in the Caribbean and in France. Paris.
