Thomas MATABADAL, better known as MATA, was born on 29 January 2001 in Les Abymes, Guadeloupe. When he was younger, he thought he was destined for a career as a footballer, but he went on to study at the CREPS (Centre de Ressources d'Expertise et de Performance Sportives) between 2013 and 2015, where he was spotted...

Back on his native island, he decided to study literature at LGT Baimbridge in Les Abymes. In 2018, MATA was born, and Thomas became the artist who delivered one incisive text after another, impressing the most mature members of the music community.u. After being spotted by KARMA MUSIC, he set aboutquickly made a name for himself on the internet for his inimitable flow through a series of freestyles entitled "sous-estimés".
It was in 2019, with her song "Lové", that her fame began to grow. After obtaining her baccalauréat, MATA decided to devote herself entirely to music. His choice was immediately confirmed with his track "Bonita", which surpassed 2 million views and catapulted him to the forefront in the eyes of the media and increased his audience on social networks.
In 2020, MATA decided tomaking a name for himself! Thanks to the success of his EP "Surface", he produced 9 tracks and 4 videos in just a few months.
