Acclaimed artist Roxsy is driven by a mission to inspire and touch lives around the world through her music. Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, she is the youngest of four siblings. Roxsy and her family moved to Saint-Martin when she was just 2 years old, and that's where she's been growing up ever since. Demonstrating her passion for music from an early age, Roxsy sings not only in her mother tongue, Spanish, but also in English and French.
In early 1997, Roxsy joined local band "Youth Waves" as a backing vocalist, performing on stages in Guadeloupe, Martinique, France, Saint-Barthélemy and Saba. Her debut album, 'Shake It Off', accompanied by her first music video entitled 'Speechless', was released on 1 November 2014.
"Shake It Off", including its self-titled track, was nominated in three categories at the Rhythm of Gospel Awards, one of the largest independent awards shows in the US. She won CD of the Year in the Holy Hip Hop/Instrumental/Alternative Gospel category on 24 June 2016. In addition, Roxsy was recognized at the 20th Marlin Awards in Nassau, Bahamas in February 2017 for her song in Spanish titled "Necesito" in the Foreign Language category.
Throughout her career, Roxsy has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Papa San, Positive (TNT), Tercer Cielo, Sherwin Gardner, William McDowell, DJ Nicholas and Shawn J, among others.
