S.RISE

Finalist and runner-up in Reggae Star Factor 2020, S.Rise is an international singer and songwriter from Guadeloupe.

With his distinctive voice, high energy and vibrant stage presence, S.RISE is best known for whipping his audiences into a frenzy.

His stage name S.RISE reflects his desire for growth; the 'S' standing for his first name Sandro - followed his desire to continue to rise as an artist and an individual.

To date, 'Most High' is one of S.RISE's most popular reggae songs in the dreamland so cherished by reggae legends such as Capleton, Sizzla and Frankie Paul. Now, S.RISE is gearing up for a strong year of success as it launches its campaign with the release of its highly anticipated single 'Love is Up' presented by Radio NRJ Antilles' DJ Willer. "Love is Up" reminds us that love is always an option!

In 2020, S.RISE played a pivotal role in the launch and fruition of The Living Room, an entertainment platform for artists around the world to collaborate, create and stay active throughout the pandemic. With The Living Room, S.RISE would go on to headline its invention and the S.RISE & Friends concert, alongside a host of established talent such as the one and only Everis Pellius, K9 and Rotterdam's ANJ. 2020 also saw a second headline concert for S.RISE - REGGAE & SOUL in London.

S.RISE then graced the main stage with international reggae legend Antony B at the BONNFIRE 2019 festival in Germany. Followed by a performance at the BRIXTON TO IBIZA concert in IBIZA alongside UK superstar Rag'n'Bone Man. Later in the year, in December, S.RISE would go on to support Vybz Kartel's protégé, dancehall superstar Popcaan.

2018 is another year for S.RISE-ing with a sell-out support slot for popular French rapper Kalash in London and at Etana Guadeloupe, before performing at Notting Hill Carnival - Europe's biggest annual street festival.

Back on his native island of Guadeloupe for some winter vibes, S.RISE continued to support some of the biggest bashment/soca artists including Movado, Kalash and Asa Bantan at the LIV'my MUSIC event.

2017: This was the year S.RISE introduced themselves to the world with an electric performance at GAMBI FEST, Gambia's most prestigious reggae festival alongside heavyweights such as 'Gage' and 'I Wayne' on stage.

S.RISE's career as a solo artist began in 2010 with the release of her first single, 'Pas de Bling Bling'. The song was extremely well received by critics, who were quick to ask for more.

Enriched with a production palette beyond reggae, S.RISE has formed its own identity by drawing inspiration from Afro-Caribbean artists such as Kassav, Jean Michel Rotin and Zouk Machine, infused with the traditional reggae of Bob Marley, Pe- ter Tosh and Gregory Isaac. In addition, S.RISE draws a strong influence from 90s American hip-hop through culture-defining artists such as Wu-Tang and Public Enemy. At his concerts, S.RISE is a fervent advocate of live instrumentation with Maximum Highs, feeding his audience with the most effective energies.

LYRICAL AWARENESS

What sets S.RISE apart from most is its deliberate attention to lyrical selection, with each song telling a unique story. Each song is a testament to the trial and tribulation that 'him, us and them' encounter throughout life. Using a combination of English, French and Creole, S.RISE uses language as an expression of unity and camaraderie.
